Grandparent Association

CDS grandparents and special friends play a vital role in supporting our students as they take on the privilege and joy of living Jewish lives.

"The glory of elders is their grandchildren and the glory of children is their elders" — Proverbs 16:6

Here at Community Day School, we use the wisdom of the past and the learning tools of today to propel us toward the future. And we thank our CDS grandparents for being the source of that wisdom and for the support and love they provide to our families that help make our work as educators possible.

Please use this link to give us your current contact information so we can keep you up-to-date on the latest happenings at Community Day School, including our annual Grandparent & Special Friend Day in early May.

If you live nearby, we hope you will visit CDS often to attend special events, volunteer in our classrooms, or share your expertise as a guest speaker. If you live out of town, we hope you will visit whenever you come to see your children and grandchildren. To get involved, contact Jenny Jones, Director of Institutional Advancement.

At CDS, our teachers know most of the students (not just their own), as well as their siblings, parents, and grandparents. How many schools can say that? My children love their teachers and feel loved in return. That matters a lot to us. And that's what distinguishes our school: We not only educate students, we raise them.
